Hollis P. Allen collection of Japanese-Philippine materials, 1942-1945.

Hollis P. Allen, professor of education at Claremont Graduate University, 1929-1960, served in the U.S. military in the Philippines during World War II. He realized the historical importance of the propaganda produced by the Japanese during the occupation and of the destruction of Philippine documents and books. The collection contains newspapers, speeches, correspondence, posters and other publications from 1942-1945.
